D Bar B Ranch
Grazing on the hill
D Bar B Ranch offers over one hundred acres of native grass pasture for turnout and trail riding. The land sits directly off K‑57, just minutes from Junction City and Fort Riley — close enough for an easy visit, far enough to feel like open country.
“Wonderful trail riding.”
There are four pastures for horses but they normally run together as a group. There are some other smaller paddocks that are only used for temporary separation when needed. During the early spring and fall fresh growth the horses are located in these smaller pastures with hay available.
We have a quality feed but can accommodate other diets. Owners are expected to handle all other care – exercise, additional feedings, etc. I can do some other care if required.
The farrier and vet come in on a regular schedule – you can use them if you would like or bring in another. You are expected to pay them directly.
If you invite someone out to the barn to ride or just visit it is important that they sign a waiver. The waivers let people know (and hopefully understand) what risks they are taking by riding. The waivers are in the rack in the tack room. Have the guest sign and you can sign the bottom as reference.
All horses are on a required shot program. The vet is scheduled out in early spring for full check ups.
Current coggins are required for all equine before entering property.
Required Shots:
Worming is done on a regular basis and is dependent on time of year and pasture as to which type is suggested and for the timing
